What people thought of their holiday with Walking & Talking in Ireland...

Some comments from 2008

Hi Sean,
I want to thank you for a most enjoyable trip. There was something about your web site whenever I look at it that says genuine, and somehow I had the feeling it would be the guide, I was right. Yes the scenery was spectacular, even through the fog and clouds, but it was your chatter and the way you made our group feel welcome and took care of our every need that I felt the most.....
Best Regards, Martin, USA - 2008

Beste Sean,
Nog beter, mooier, leuker dan de vorige keer. Bedankt voor een geweldige week!
Ed (Netherlands) 2008

Dear Sean,
It was amazing! Thank you for a wonderful week.
Cathie 2008

Dear Sean,

Although the sun wasn't beating down on us every day, we enjoyed you walking and talking with us up the main street down the same street. We loved your stories, songs and jokes, especially those below the belt but also the fairy-tales about magic mushrooms, private ships, pirate ships, selfish giants and recording studios………

We got an idea of Mullan's Medical Walking Treatment (MMWT) while having our banana-stops beside the daily 'Kirsch' - sip.

MMWT became famous for providing people ( especially middle-aged women) with liquid sunshine for the skin, daily liquid Guinness for the soul and the Irish Times for the brain.

Now it is time to get off to Dublin/Galway - wrapped in green t-shirts and packed with MMWT leaflets.

Hi there Sean! Many thanks for yet another fabulous week of Walking & Talking in Ireland! Your enthusiasm, energy, sense of humour, versatility and professionalism all combined to make a great trip for all, from avid walkers to even my reluctant walking but avid talking husband! The variable weather patterns we experienced just made it all the more fun. I wish you all the best and much success with the rest of your walks this Summer. Don't be surprised to see us back again sometime! If you will have us back that is!! Take care,
-Gloria & Ray Hiker13@sympatico.ca

Sean Thanks so much for the great walks. Chris and I enjoyed every one of them but you saved the best for last. The accommodations were very good and the food much better than expected. Ireland was surely a joy to visit. Cheers

Back again in 'old Heidelberg' - back again my meanwhile well-known feeling of 'homesickness'. I'm crying on the inside and laughing on the outside: I had another great time in Ireland (-especially during my first week with you!!!-) and wish again I could stay there........... !!! Being in Ireland I feel so comfortable and my heart is full of happiness and gratitude -- all the people I met were so kind and friendly, full of warmth!!! For that reason once again: thank you so much for this wonderful week ..............nearly nothing could have been better -- I'm sure, that you've realized, how content and satisfied we were!!? Very important: your presence as a kind, patient, modest and well-experienced guide, always in a good mood and with a particular sense and awareness for everybody in the group!!!

Sean Mullan has been walking the walk and talking the talk for about five years, and it showed. Tours turn into experiences when you're accompanied by someone who has a passion for the place you're visiting. There are new lessons learned when your guide can answer every question without consulting any prepared speeches. Sean opened my eyes to this country I knew nothing about.

Our guide Sean Mullan , with the Irish gift for conversation, helps us absorb history and culture without ever sounding like a guide with a script.
-Mary Margaret Green – The Washington Times 2005

We loved our trip and our fellow walkers - thank you again for making it so wonderful. I am sure that you will see us in future.

It was such a great tour!!! Thank you for everything. Hope you are fine. Barbara Bremen, Germany.2005 bth@uni-bremen.de

everything was handled very warm and professional and that isn't an easy balance. take care and have a beautiful day, cindy, Colorado,USA.cvorhees@earthlink.net

Everything was so great ; the Irish people with whom we stayed, the walking and the scenery (fabulous), fellow hikers, and not to forget the succulent foods we ate! You were all so friendly, helpful , knowledgeable and considerate and things were well organised ; all contributed to make this a wonderful, positive experience. The fact that it was also a great stress buster was a bonus! Keep walking and talking in Ireland Sean! Gloria - Ontario, Canada.2005 hiker13@sympatico.ca

All the parts of the journey I enjoyed very much and I would like to say thanks to you and all these friendly people acting with you. A wonderful team, and a wonderful group too. Hans-Joachim Tiefensee Bremen, Germany.2005.tiefensee@uni-bremen.de

"I found the experience (a better description than holiday) fascinating, fun, challenging and an eye opener. The contrast between Antrim and Donegal was a real plus and the visit to Derry was not to be missed. Your knowledge and relaxed friendly style added immensely to the enjoyment of the whole experience."
- Barry O'Connor, London, England

"Our expectations were more than fulfilled during a wonderful week in late August. The views we saw and the circumstances under which we did so were for us 'out of this world'. This experience will for us always be deemed as unforgettable."
- Annemette and Erik Rokamp, Hellerup, Denmark. www.rokamp.subnet.dk

"The hospitality of the Irish people is amazing. The landladies were so very friendly and helpful, serving tea in the afternoon when we were tired after the walks. Then there was the wonderful spirit of the group, the various nationalities which meant interesting talks and experiences. And last but not least your very warm attitude to all of us, caring so well for everything."
- Christine Farwer, Hamburg, Germany. farwer@duei.de

" Having everything arranged and even with the possibility for individual arrangement was perfect. Meeting interesting people in a very relaxed atmosphere, spending the day and talking with them was very fine. Having a very competent local 'guide' through it all was indeed most exclusive."
- Lars Obel, Copenhagen, Denmark. veksebo@get2net.dk

Hej!!! (=Swedish for hello) Thank you everybody for the best vacation ever! I had a great time! Coming back to Sweden was a little boring. I miss you all.
- Anna Akesson, Sweden.2004 anna.akeson@heimer-co.se

The week was a magical and mystical experience for us - so full of history, geography, cultural insights, music, literature and a physical identification with the land through the walks. The Emerald Isle lives on in our hearts and minds. And we loved getting to know you all and we miss you.
- Chuck Green, USA.2004 cgreen@moonstar.com

Our return to Sweden was easy, no delays. Now back in Sweden I think with pleasure of you all and the great week we spent together. I couldn't have had better travelling companions. Sean, you are a superb tour leader.
- Gudrun Domar,Falun,Sweden.2004 domar@telia.com

"I would like to say that all my expectations were met - I had a super week ! Visiting both Northern Ireland and the Republic gave the trip an extra dimension. A quick survey among the participants in the pub on the last night revealed that when it came to choosing the favourite walk there were almost as many opinions as people. So I guess you will just have to continue to do them all ! Thank you for a lovely holiday."
Nina Larsen, Bagsvord, Denmark.

"Wonderful Stuff!!!!"
